You will be based at our client on the west coast of Sweden. Our client is a European research and development organisation working on next-generation vehicle architectures, digital technologies, and intelligent systems. This is a longterm, full-time, on-site assignment as a Regional Issue Manager.
📝 JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is looking for a Regional Issue Manager to own project quality, NPDS deliverables, issue tracking, and milestone governance for GTEU towards China. You will drive transparent reporting, cross-functional coordination, and timely closure of project actions and deliverables.
Responsibilities:
Drive milestone and gateway governance with the RPL, including deliverable reviews and NPDS compliance
Own project quality and NPDS deliverables for GTEU towards China
Act as deputy for the Project Leader when required
Own execution and follow-up of SWIM, GQMP, JIRA, and New Star
Compile status statistics and progress presentations
Prepare quality, issue, Change Request, and milestone status reports
Organize project meetings, document decisions, and follow up actions
Maintain project documentation and integrate GTEU into global and short-term plans
Collect and follow up RUPL tasks; coordinate issue and action status with EU and China teams
Support CRB preparation and reporting; review milestone status with China Quality, RPL, and China PLs
Align SWIM, GQMP, JIRA, and New Star with China; report issue-tracking with RDQC during test events
✅ REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field
At least 5 years of automotive experience, working in or close to product development projects
Leadership and team coordination skills
Ability to manage complex dependencies across teams and regions
Strong communication and presentation skills; able to influence senior stakeholders across regions
Available for on-site work on the west coast of Sweden, longterm, full-time (100%)
🌈 PREFERRED
Native Mandarin is an advantage
Experience with Office 365 and Jira

A structured project quality and issue-management professional who thrives coordinating across regions. Comfortable owning milestone governance, issue tracking tools, and clear status reporting to senior stakeholders in both EU and China.
