👋 ABOUT ENGAGE STUDIOS
We design, innovate and build digital / physical products for the world's largest - and Sweden's smallest company. Our guiding principle is to make a difference - for the better. Ideas are good and execution is the success factor. We are people and teams who are not afraid to question, roll up our sleeves and laugh all the way to the finish line.
Since the start in 2009, we have worked with basically all manufacturing / developing companies in Sweden. The Volvo companies, IKEA, H&M, Electrolux, Lynk&Co, Zeekr, Houdini to name a few. Our customers are in the traditional Swedish industry all the way to innovative startups in Silicon Valley. They are not found in oil drilling or the military industry. We are determined to make our presence and work known with passionate and dedicated employees who love design, tech and people.
🚀 WE OFFER
At Engage Studios, you will work in many different industries for different customers. You will work with incredibly smart and dedicated colleagues. Together we develop products and services that you can brag about to your friends. We at Engage Studios are always at the forefront of technology development. We develop and share knowledge with each other to get better tomorrow. With us, you get the opportunity to realize your dreams, big and small.
You will be based at our client on the west coast of Sweden. Our client is a European research and development organisation working on next-generation vehicle architectures, digital technologies, and intelligent systems. This is a longterm, full-time, on-site assignment.
📝 JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is looking for an AI Architect (EU AI Platform Engineer / Architect) to own the EU-side architecture, deployment, and adaptation of an agentic AI platform. You ensure that shared platform components can be securely, compliantly, and reliably deployed within the EU cloud and enterprise environment.
You act as the primary technical interface between EU application teams, EU IT infrastructure, and the broader platform engineering organisation. You define and maintain the EU reference architecture, manage EU deployment requirements, and keep alignment with the platform roadmap and architecture decisions.
Examples of major tasks:
Own the EU reference architecture for agent runtime, model gateway, connector/tooling framework, and SDK layer; adapt shared components for EU deployment and compliance.
Define and enforce Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) where EU requirements diverge; represent EU needs in joint architecture reviews.
Deploy and operate platform services on approved EU cloud infrastructure with Cloud/DevOps and EU IT; own technical aspects of the IT operating agreement (provisioning, IAM, network, incident escalation).
Ensure compliance with EU data-residency, retention, and cross-border transfer requirements; integrate with EU enterprise systems (identity providers, internal APIs, document/data platforms).
Define secure connector patterns for Big Data and Knowledge Database Services (vector search, enterprise search, knowledge graph); enable EU application teams with reusable patterns, SDKs, and architecture reviews.
Expected outcomes within the first months include an approved EU platform reference architecture, core services deployed in EU cloud with baseline observability and security, and at least one EU application team building on reusable platform patterns.
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years in software, cloud, or platform architecture.
2+ years hands-on experience with LLM/agent platforms, RAG, or production AI services.
Strong Python and/or TypeScript; solid API and distributed systems design experience.
Cloud-native engineering: Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, observability.
Working knowledge of IAM, networking, secrets management, and secure API design.
Practical understanding of LLM/agent concepts: inference, tool calling, embeddings/vector search, evaluation, guardrails.
Comfortable as a technical bridge across distributed, cross-cultural engineering teams.
Available for on-site work on the west coast of Sweden, longterm full-time (100%).
💫 YOUR PROFILE
Strong drive to take on new challenges, easy adapting to new environments and scopes, collaborative and open-minded. Preferred: GDPR-aware architecture and EU data-residency experience; familiarity with EU AI Act implications; automotive, mobility, or manufacturing enterprise background; tools such as LangChain/LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, Terraform, ArgoCD, OpenTelemetry, or equivalents.
